Who can use it

People who may edit the organization (normally the Owner and administrators). For invited workspace admins the page is visible only when their Billing access switch is on (Workspace admins).

Where: Settings → Plan & billing, or your user menu → Billing and plan.

The page

Titled Change your plan ("Your users, data and settings stay exactly as they are. Only the plan tier, its limits and which module features are switched on will change."). Three tabs: Plans, Invoices, Billing history.

Your current plan

At the top a card shows the {name} plan, a status tag (active, trialing or an unpaid state), "Renew after {n} days" (days left in the period), the price per billing cycle, and the Modules and Addons included. Below, usage bars show how much of each limit you use (for example users or storage), with "unlimited" where there is no limit.

Payment and renewal

The Payment & renewal card keeps the card or bKash wallet used for renewals.

Control What it does
Add card or bKash Opens Save and continue where you choose Card or Wallet. You go to the payment partner's page; 9bx never sees your card number
Default tag / Make default Choose which saved method is used. "{name} will be used for renewals."
Remove Asks "Remove {name}?" If none is left, automatic renewal turns off and you pay by hand
Pay now Pays immediately. On a trial this ends the trial and starts the paid period today
"No saved card or wallet yet." Shown when nothing is saved

Change your plan

Under Pick the new plan choose Monthly or Yearly with the billing toggle. Each plan card shows its price and a short list of what the plan gives, compared with your Current plan; the button reads Upgrade to {name} or Downgrade to {name}.

Every plan card, here and on the 9bx pricing page, lists the same items in the same order, with that plan's own numbers: Branches, Organizations, Concurrent calls, Extensions, Own storage and PBX server, 9bx Cloud PBX and storage server, WhatsApp Business calling, Multi-level IVR, Developer API & Webhooks, Advanced reports & exports, Custom domain, Priority 24/7 support, Support 24/7 (with the support channel), Bring your own AI, Multiple integrations, Call intelligence and Power & predictive dialer. A number shows the plan's limit, Unlimited means no limit, and a cross means the plan does not include it. The card is a summary: everything else the plan includes (users, storage, team chat and more) still comes with it, and the pricing page's Module features, plan by plan table lists the full detail.

Change When it takes effect
Upgrade Immediately. You pay the prorated amount for the rest of the billing cycle
Downgrade At the end of the current billing period

Confirm in the dialog (for example "Upgrade plan" then Continue to payment).

Modules and add-ons

Each plan includes some modules at no charge and sells the others on top, at the same monthly price on every plan where they are optional (yearly is ten months):

Module Free Starter Pro Enterprise
PBX & Call Center Included Included Included Included
CRM $5 / month Included Included Included
9bx Connect $2 / month $2 / month Included Included
Tickets & Helpdesk $2 / month $2 / month Included Included
HRM $3 / month $3 / month $3 / month $3 / month
Asset Management $2 / month $2 / month $2 / month $2 / month

The pricing page and every plan card list the included modules and the price of each optional one. A workspace has an optional module only while its subscription pays for it; when a module is turned off, its data stays and comes back when the module is bought again.

Under Your modules open any module to see what switches on or off, and turn optional modules on or off. Included modules cannot be removed. Add-ons ("Extra capacity and capability on top of the plan") each list exactly what they unlock; use Increase quantity or Decrease quantity for add-ons sold per unit (for example extra users). The right column, the Pricing summary, shows the total, tax and the trial length, and the pay button.

To turn a module your plan already includes on or off for everyone, or to hide some of its menus, use Manage modules on this page or go to Modules.

After the trial: adding a module or add-on takes effect now at the full price; removing one takes effect from the next cycle; a downgrade starts next cycle.

The trial

Every paid plan starts with a free trial. During it:

  • Nothing is charged. You can change plan, modules and add-ons freely; the button reads Save changes - no charge today. The dialog says "Nothing is charged today and your trial still ends {date}. This selection is what will be charged then."
  • The trial runs once. Changing plan does not restart or extend it.
  • When the trial ends, the saved payment method is charged for whatever you selected at that moment. You are notified about an hour before.
  • You can pay early with Pay now ("Pay now and end the trial?"). Your paid period starts as soon as the payment goes through. Whether unused trial days are added to your first paid period depends on a platform setting.
  • Some plans need a card or wallet on file for the trial; others allow Skip for now.

When payment fails: read-only and suspension

These are the usual timings at the time of writing; your organization may have different values set by 9bx.

When What happens
About an hour before a charge A notice says the charge is coming
The charge succeeds The workspace stays active
The charge fails 9bx retries a few times a day for about a week. The workspace turns read-only: you can look and use billing, but cannot change data. The top bar says "Payment due: workspace is read-only"
After the retry window No more automatic tries; pay by hand to reopen
Long after the trial or period ended (about 10 to 15 days) Suspended: people cannot sign in except to the billing page ("Workspace suspended: pay to restore")
About 30 days after suspension The workspace is scheduled for deletion (a warning arrives before this)

Paying at any time (Pay now, or the payment page the banner links to) makes the workspace active immediately. Billing and payment pages stay open throughout. Notices go to the Owner and billing admins before and after each step.

An unverified email also makes the workspace read-only after its deadline; see First login.

Invoices and billing history

  • Invoices lists each invoice with its status (Unpaid for open ones). Open one to see the lines and pay or download it.
  • Billing history is the timeline of payments, plan changes and renewals.

Example scenario

Padma Net Support is in the last week of a 14-day trial on the Pro plan. Rafiq opens Plan & billing, sees the status trialing, adds the 10 extra users add-on and clicks Save changes - no charge today. He clicks Add card or bKash, saves his bKash wallet and makes it Default. The workspace stays fully open; on the trial end date the saved wallet is charged for Pro plus the add-on, with a notice an hour earlier.

Tips

  • Save a payment method on day one so renewals never lapse.
  • Change modules during the trial; it costs nothing until the trial ends.
  • Make sure the Owner's email and notices are on, because payment problems are sent as notices.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

The workspace is read-only. Check the banner: unpaid renewal or unverified email. Pay or verify.

I cannot see Plan & billing. You lack the permission, or your Billing access is off.

The downgrade did not apply. It takes effect at the end of the billing period.

A payment method was removed. With none left, renewals are manual.

I was charged right after changing plan. Upgrades after the trial are charged now, prorated; before the trial ends nothing is charged.
