Custom domain
Open 9bx on your own address, such as care.padmanet.example, with your logo, colours and name on the sign-in page, the browser tab and emails.

Who can use it
Administrators with the custom-domain permission. People without the permission can see the page but cannot change it.

Add a domain
- Type a domain or subdomain you own in Domain, for example care.padmanet.example. Do not type "https://" or a path.
- Click Add domain. You see "{domain} added. Now create the DNS records below."
Create the DNS records
Under DNS records create the records at the company that runs your domain's DNS (your registrar, Cloudflare and so on). The page shows "{n} of {total} found".

| A record | Use only if your DNS provider has no ALIAS. If 9bx addresses ever change, you are emailed first |

| TXT | Proves the domain is yours. Keep it after go-live; it is checked regularly |
Each row has Host / name and Value with Copy host and Copy value, and a state: Found, Not right yet ("Found instead: ...") or Not checked.
Tips shown on the page:
- Cloudflare: set the proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud). The orange cloud hides 9bx's servers and the check fails.
- GoDaddy and some others have no ALIAS: use the A record tab.
- DNS changes usually show within minutes but can take up to 24 hours.
Status and checking

| Failed | Setup stopped; fix the records and press Check now |
| Disabled | The domain is switched off |
The card also shows Last checked, Certificate valid until, Open site and Needs attention since. If your plan later drops custom domains the page says "Paused: your plan no longer includes custom domains". Upgrade again and press Check now; the records can stay.
Remove a domain
- Click Remove this domain.
- Type the domain to confirm and click Remove domain. People can keep signing in at the usual 9bx address.
Example scenario
Padma Net Support adds care.padmanet.example. Imran creates an ALIAS and the TXT record in Cloudflare with the proxy set to DNS only. After ten minutes the status goes Pending DNS, Verifying, Issuing certificate, Active. Staff now open care.padmanet.example and see the company logo.
Tips
- Use a dedicated subdomain (care, support) rather than the main website address.
- Tell staff the new address and keep the old one as a backup.
- Do not delete the TXT record.
Troubleshooting and FAQ
Stuck on Pending DNS. Check the host and value exactly and the Cloudflare proxy setting; wait up to 24 hours.
HTTPS warning. The certificate is still being issued; wait and press Check now.
The page is read-only. You lack the permission.
