Who can use it

Administrators with the matching permissions. This page is a map: the detailed guides are in the CRM and HR sections.

API keys and webhooks

API keys and webhooks live inside CRM, not in the Settings app:

CRM → Clients → Developer API. It has API keys, Webhooks, API reference and the client Sync connections. Full guide: Sync connections and the Developer API.

Privacy requests

People can ask for a copy of their data, or for it to be erased. Handle those requests where the data lives:

Data Where Guide
Clients, leads, contacts CRM → CRM settings → Privacy requests, and the privacy menu on a client or lead Privacy and GDPR
Employees HR → Privacy → Data subject requests, Consent records, Privacy settings HR privacy

Custom fields

Add your own fields to records (for example a "Meter number" on clients) from the page where the record lives. See Custom fields.

Activity and audit records

Sensitive actions are recorded, for example a two-factor reset ("recorded in the activity log"), role changes and call-recording access. If you need an extract of these records for an audit, ask your 9bx contact.

Example scenario

Padma Net Support's developer builds a billing sync. Rafiq opens CRM → Clients → Developer API, creates a key and a webhook. A subscriber later asks for her data to be erased; Nusrat opens her client record's privacy menu and starts the request.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

I cannot find API keys under Administration. They are under CRM → Clients → Developer API.

The Developer API button is missing. Your plan or role does not include it.

Where is the audit log? If you need an extract of the activity records, ask your 9bx contact.
