CRM
Contact enrichment
Fill in missing company details automatically from a business email address or a website: the company name, website, logo, social profiles and a short description.
Who can use it
People allowed to enrich records see the Enrich button. Administrators choose the settings.
Enrich a record
Click Enrich at the top of a company, client or contact.
| Record | What happens |
|---|---|
| Company | Its website (or domain) is looked up; blank fields such as website, logo, social links, description, industry, phone and city are filled |
| Client | The domain of the client's email finds the company with that domain, or creates it; a client without a company is linked to it, then the company is enriched |
| Contact | The same from the contact's email; a blank company name and company link are filled |
Enrichment never overwrites anything someone typed: it only fills blank fields. Free mailboxes such as gmail.com, yahoo.com or outlook.com are skipped, because they say nothing about the employer. The company page shows the logo, the social links and "Details filled automatically".
Settings
CRM → Companies → Enrichment:
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Where details come from | Company website (free) reads the company's own home page. A paid company-data service can be chosen instead with your own API key; it is off until you pick it. When the paid service finds nothing, the free lookup is used. |
| Enrich new records automatically | New companies, clients and contacts are enriched in the background just after they are saved |
The API key is kept encrypted and is never shown again after saving (leave it empty to keep it).
Tips
- Results for a domain are remembered for a week, so enriching many people from the same company is quick.
- A site that is slow or down simply gives nothing; try again later.
