New transfer Opens the new-transfer form
Dispatch Sends the stock. Units go In transit
Receive Confirms the destination received it
Delete Removes a draft

Step-by-step

Create and dispatch

  1. Click New transfer.
  2. Choose the origin and destination locations and add a note.
  3. Add items: select a product and quantity, or select a specific asset, or a reel. You must add at least one item.
  4. Save as a draft, then click Dispatch.

Receive

  1. At the destination, open the transfer and click receive.
  2. Confirm the quantities. Add notes if something differs.
  3. Confirm. Serialized units move to the destination location.

How it works

It is a two-party transfer. When dispatched, serialized units are in transit until received. Each unit's location changes on dispatch and again on receipt, and is recorded in its history. If you sent 10 but 9 arrived, the mismatch is caught at receipt and the transfer shows Partial.

Example scenario

Padma Net Support moves 15 routers from the Mirpur warehouse to the new Uttara office. Nasrin creates the transfer and dispatches it. The Uttara manager receives 14 and notes that one was missing. The transfer shows Partial with the note, and the missing unit stays traceable.

Tips

  • Dispatch only when the goods physically leave.
  • Receive the same day so stock levels stay correct.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

I cannot edit a dispatched transfer. Only drafts can be changed. Receive it, then create a new transfer if needed.

A unit is stuck in transit. The destination has not confirmed receipt.
