Inventory
Track bulk stock levels, cable reels, bandwidth links and every stock movement.
Who can use it
Staff with the inventory permissions.
Where: Assets & Inventory → Inventory.
Stock balances.
The screen
Four tabs:

Serialized units live on the Assets page, not here. Material reel issues also have their own list: Reel, Issued Amount, Issued To Type, Issued To Name, Start Reading, End Reading.
Step-by-step tasks
Adjust stock by hand
- Open Stock movements and click New movement.
- Choose the product, location and direction: In (+), Out (−) or Adjustment.
- For an adjustment choose the reason, such as Stock count correction or Damaged / write-off.
- Optionally add a reference type (for example Purchase order), reference ID and notes, then save. A row is added to the ledger.
Issue cable from a reel
- Open Reels and click the reel.
- Create an issue: who gets it (employee or job), the Start Reading and End Reading meters. The remaining length is deducted automatically.
Add a bandwidth link
- Open Bandwidth and click New Bandwith link.
- Enter the link name, provider (a vendor marked as bandwidth provider), committed bandwidth and monthly cost.
- Optionally enter Contract ends: you are reminded 30, 15 and 7 days before (see Alerts, import and export).
The Low stock list shows products at or below their reorder level and raises a purchase requisition in one click (see Alerts, import and export).
Example scenario
A fiber reel of 2,000 metres arrives at the Mirpur store. The storekeeper registers it with Add New. Engineer Arif takes a drop cable for a customer: the issue records start reading 0 and end reading 85, so the reel shows 1,915 m remaining. A bandwidth link with a 10 Gbps commitment is tracked at its monthly cost.
Tips
- Prefer purchase receipts over manual movements so the ledger keeps its source.
- Review Stock movements before a stock audit.
Troubleshooting and FAQ
Stock is lower than I counted. Check Stock movements for adjustments and issues. Run a stock audit to correct it.
I cannot add a movement. Manual movements are for bulk items, not serialized units.
