Who can use it

Anyone with the task permissions of the CRM module. You see your own tasks by default. Managers who may see other people's tasks get the extra Whose tasks filter. If you see "You cannot see tasks", ask an administrator for the task permissions.

Where to find it

CRM → Tasks. The menu item shows a badge with your overdue tasks.

The same task list also appears inside a client record (Tasks tab) and inside the lead, ticket and contact records, already filtered to that record.

Add a task

  1. Open CRM → Tasks.
  2. In the New task box, type "Call Rahim Uddin about the fibre upgrade".
  3. Press Enter to save it with no date, or choose Tomorrow to set a due time first.
  4. To add details, click More options, set Priority, Reminder and Assigned to, then Add task.

Work through tasks

  • Mark as done: tick the task or choose Mark as done. A repeating task shows "Task done. The next one is scheduled."
  • Open again: from the Done tab choose Open again.
  • Edit task / Cancel task / Delete: use the More actions menu. Delete cannot be undone; Cancel keeps the task in the Done tab.
  • Remind me to call back: from a call, you can create a "Call back {name}" task directly.

Example scenario

Nusrat, a sales executive at a Dhaka ISP, finishes a call with Tahmina Akter, who wants a corporate quote. Nusrat adds the task "Send corporate quote to Tahmina" linked to the client, due tomorrow 10:00, priority High, reminder "1 hour before". The next morning at 09:00 she gets the reminder. After sending the quote she ticks the task. Her manager, using Whose tasks → Everyone, can see that nothing is overdue.

Tips

  • Link tasks to the client or lead so the task shows on their record and timeline.
  • Use Repeat → Monthly for routine jobs such as a monthly account review.
  • Assign a task to a teammate to hand over a follow-up; you can still see it with Mine and ones I gave.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

I set a reminder but it says "Set a due date to be reminded before it." A reminder is counted from the due time, so give the task a due date first.

A repeating task will not save. A repeating task needs a due date.

I cannot see my colleague's tasks. Only users with permission to see other people's tasks get the Everyone option.
